If you follow us on Facebook, you might have heard that we were in Tokyo recently for TOKYO COMIC CON 2017!
The world’s largest pop culture event finally arrived in Japan for the first time ever in 2016. And this year for their second edition, Tokyo Comic Con is back, bigger and better!!
Look at the huge crowd and those massive booths! And this is just the entrance area of the Messe hall. Thanks to the event staff, everything was orderly and easy to walk around. There are so many things to see here!
As collectors ourselves, what we were most excited to see at Tokyo Comic Con is…
ALL THE FIGURES!!
Exclusive products, new figures announcements, and of course, countless figure prototypes from various makers!! Of course, we had grab some Tokyo Comic Con exclusive goods and we got some for you, our readers as well! (Read till the end for details)

These just make up a small portion of what was displayed there, can you believe it? The sheer amount of awesome, impressive figures and statues was mind-blowing. Did any of them pique your interest?
For the rest of this trip, the holy lands of otaku filled our itineraries (no surprises there). But first, onwards to The Gundam Base Tokyo in Odaiba!
We managed to catch the life-sized RX-0 Unicorn Gundam transforming from its Unicorn Mode to Destroy Mode!! Not only does the amour changes, the LED panels light up as well.
Another highlight of our trip revolves around Fate/Grand Order! There is currently a FGO Figure Gallery in Akiba CO Gallery, from 24 November 2017 to 14 January 2018. Orgainzed by Good Smile Comapany, figures from the FGO series, both released and upcoming figures, from various figures makers have been gathered here.
Also, there was also a special collaboration between FGO and Lawson, and they transformed a Lawson store in Akihabara and made it FGO-themed! They didn’t allow us to take photos inside, so sorry for the lack of pictures.
